Improving your quality of life.

That is my goal. With you.

I am Joel Pujol, a psychologist with a deep passion for people’s emotional and mental well-being. My mission is to help you discover and use your own strengths to overcome life’s challenges and achieve greater personal satisfaction, while reducing any suffering you may experience.

My Education and Experience

I have a solid academic background in psychology, having earned my degree in Psychology from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). Additionally, I hold a degree in Primary Education from the University of Barcelona (UB) as well as a Technical Engineering degree in IT Management from the UOC. I lived in my birthplace, Barcelona, until I was 23 years old, and since 2004, I have been living in Berlin for over 20 years, with periods spent back in Barcelona and even two years in Buenos Aires. Furthermore, I have traveled extensively across India, China, and Southeast Asia.

My professional career includes years of experience in various settings, where I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of individuals and groups. This has provided me with a broad understanding of diverse socio-cultural contexts, facilitating effective understanding and communication with my clients, which is key to achieving success in the therapeutic process.

Therapeutic Approach

My therapeutic approach is integrative, using various techniques and methodologies to adapt to the unique needs of each individual. I incorporate methods from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as humanistic therapies such as Client-Centered Therapy or Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), to provide a holistic and effective treatment.

Whenever necessary, I use measurement tools such as questionnaires and scales appropriate to each case to assess progress and the results of therapy. Only by achieving the goals we have set together—reducing suffering or maladaptive behaviors, or improving your mental well-being and quality of life—can we say that therapy has been successful.

In any case, regular evaluation before, during, and after therapy is one of my core principles. This ensures that I always know where we are in the process, and my clients are aware of their position within the therapeutic journey and their progress toward improved emotional well-being.

Your personal growth: My goal is to empower you to find your own solutions and strategies to face challenges. I believe we all have the capacity to grow and change.
